BitSummit MMXIV (BitSummit 2)

March 9, 2014

On Friday the 7th & Saturday the 8th of March Dadako had a table at Bit Summit MMXIV, the second year of this festival dedicated to independent games makers, like us!

We showcased two games; “Cat Slap” – our new title for iOS & Android, with a late summer penned as the release & “Tilterpillar + Sphero” – a technology demo where we use the Sphero device to control our already existing game.

The show was very interesting with many unknown games and known indie games alike. PC games were out in force, mostly shooters from the Japanese developers and RPG & platformers from international developers. Mobile games were thin on the ground, with Dadako being one of the few Mobile developers attending.

One of the most interesting aspects was watching people play our games. This gave us invaluable feedback as to how we need to alter menu systems and gameplay. Cat Slap didn’t have an intro, for example, as this led some punters to wonder why indeed they are playing the game. With a bit of story, we can solve this easily.

Head on over to the Bit Summit website for more information on the event. Linked below are some shots we took of the event.

Talk at PicoPico Cafe (Tokyo)

July 27, 2013

Today we were re-invited to talk at PicoPico Cafe in Tokyo, where we talked on our personal project that helped us learn Unity3D to a degree whereby it is possible to publish a game. This in turned helped us create Bath Time for iPad / iPhone.

Many thanks to Joseph White @ Lexaloffle for the host.
